Amazing Race Portland

Saturday we joined Mosaic Church in an Urban Camp event, Amazing Race. A & I were joined by Adria. We started at 8:30 and raced till 5:30. The Barracuda divas were out at 8th place while Team Spartacus (Hubby, Z & Mark) got 5th place.

It was run much like the Amazing Race TV show. We raced all over Portland with teams eliminated when they didn't beat other teams in the 5 legs throughout the day. We visited PGE park, the International Rose Test Garden, Saturday Market, Rocky Butte, and ended at Mt Tabor.

Our team was the last to the 3rd pit stop at the Rose Garden, but the Red Hots took pity on our parking situation and let us take their place. We did get out on the next leg but A was excited because she got to kayak as a challenge right after that.

We were all sore and bruised after running all day, but we all agreed we had a great time!

The Barracuda Divas!!!

A got to paddle on the Willamette and kicked butt at this challenge.

The flamingo had to travel with us through some of the challenges and has now taken up residence on Z&A's bookcase.

The last 5 teams had to find a dog bone in the sand...they never did.

One of the last challenges was bouldering, where one team member had to make their way on the wall from one point to another.

Congratulations to the Yellow team for 1st place. And congrats to Team Spartacus for accomplishing your goal, beating us. :)
